"Mission Farewell"

Yesterday we had the opportunity to speak in our ward Sacrament Meeting prior to our departure for our mission. We were thrilled and honored to see so many of our family and friends there to support us. Thank you! Jeannette had a nice family luncheon at her home afterwards. Thank you Bowen family!

Leaving for the Russia Moscow Mission

The time has arrived! On Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Stephen and I enter the MTC in Provo, Utah, for our final instructions and preparation before we depart to preside over the Russia Moscow Mission. We were called last October to this unbelievable calling and these last eight months have flown by. Almost every type of emotion and feeling are flowing through me. I am very grateful for this opportunity to serve as a missionary, but overwhelmed at the huge responsibility that lies ahead of us. It's been very humbling to think that the Lord has this type of trust in us to be stewards over these wonderful missionaries in Moscow. We are eager to be with them, to learn and feel of their incredible spirits and to love them. How blessed we will be!

I invite you along, through this blog, on our incredible journey to Moscow to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in that great land.
